Descending Seelmaer Hill from the North, one arrives in the heart of
Brown
County's
most ancient river valley. One of the first things seen is the house with the peculiar looking monument that never fails to stir one’s curiosity. Since 1851, countless people have stopped for a closer look. Imagine how many fun comments and photos have been made at this site! It’s a tradition for me to take a photo of houseguests with the venerable statue. This photo is added to an album and becomes a part of house history. An aura appears to hover over the stone statue and
