I found this concrete leprechaun in a Nashville antique store one summer. The owner told me he discovered the statue many years ago in a lady’s garden while visiting a friend outside of Berlin, Germany. That evening I brought it into the house and turned off all the lights except a flashlight pointed upward from his feet. I wanted to contemplate exactly what it was I purchased while sipping on a glass filled with cognac. It was shortly thereafter that “The Miracle at Stone Head” occurred. I’m 90% sure I saw a very rapid forearm flexure of 45 degrees or so and subsequently dubbed this concrete monstrosity, Leo McCaffrey, Patron Saint of Mischief. I later returned to the antique shop to let the owner know he never should've sold the magical man in green, but of course, he just laughed.
